cedargood

my boyfriend's mum's birthday is next month so i decided to make a soap for her. i finally found a way to use a decent amount of cedarwood oil in a blend. normally i don't go higher than 10-15% because i think it stinks and most other oils never seem to mask the stinkiness. i mixed it with some rose geranium oil, however, and its really nice. rose geranium is too sweet and floral on its own but with cedarwood, the cedar isn't too hamster cagey and the rose geranium isn't too pungent, if that makes sense.

i actually liked the blend in this soap so much that i've been using it in my oil burner. maybe i don't have to chuck that bottle of cedarwood out after all.

can you see the dinosaur head on the right?

"wendy"

additives: ground rice and calendula.
scent: rose granium, cedarwood, lavender, ginger and sandalwood.
technique: i used a fork to make the lines at the top. i do peaked tops most of the time so i just wanted something different for a change.

Looks gorgeous - I like the technique. The fragrance sounds good too, I love woody florals. I've recently discovered rose and sandalwood mixed, which I thought I would hate, but I love it sooo much I too am burning it in my oil burner.
I love your purple one too by the way :)
